Cedar Mingle went viral in my tiny school and saw around 1/8 of the student body create accounts.

Ancient History

I created Cedar Mingle over the course of ~7 weeks during the height of the rona lockdowns. I launched a couple weeks into the fall semester of my Senior year of college. I wasn’t sure what to expect - and was shocked that it went viral and became the talk of the school.

While no longer maintained, it was an extremely educational and fulfilling experience.

Round Two

I’m trying to bring Cedar Mingle back. Over the years, people kept bringing it up and saying they wished it was still around, and I never had the time to rebuild a free app on my own.

But AI is finally good enough to do like 99% of the work for me, so I figured it’d be fun to revive it. It’s been rebuilt from scratch, this time built to keep running for every class that comes next.

I don’t know if it’ll work, or if there’s still enough interest. But at least I’ll find out in January.
